Beaune

the Hôtel-dieu de Beaune is a spectacular medieval hospital.
It was founded to care for the poor, and remains a charity supported by the proceeds of the annual Hospice de Beaune wine auction
The preserved ward shows beds where the patients slept in threes (nobody knew about germs, and they kept each other warm.
The ward is also a chapel.
