Viaduc des Fades

For my money, this is even more spectacular that Eiffel's effort at Garabit.
It is a railway viaduct, and at the time of its inauguration on 10 October 1909, was the tallest bridge in the world, across all categories.

The engineer was Félix VIRARD.

In the same area is the dam known as the Barrage des Fades or Barrage de Besserves, retaining an artificial lake.

For the above lake, see Pont du Bouchet.
