Solignac

This is personal, and you don't have to read it.
When my first wife died, she had been ill for two years, and we had made plans. I was to move to France and begin a new life.
So I went to the Limousin, still grieving. I came to Solignac and entered the abbey church, down the steps into the nave and into the warm peace.
It was at this point that, very clearly, I heard a voice.
Not the traditional Voice From Heaven by any means, because it was the voice of our daughter's Nursery School teacher,
when I took the child in for her first day and sat nervously at the back of the class watching her settle in.
After about five minutes, the teacher came back to me, pointed out daughter absorbed in her new world, and said,
'It's all right, you can go. She's with me now'.

And that is what I heard in the Abbey at Solignac.
